His passion for music began long before he ever stepped into a recording studio. As a child, David spent countless hours watching skateboarding videos on YouTube, where music played an essential role in shaping the atmosphere and identity of the culture. The songs featured in those videos left a lasting impression on him and became his introduction to hip-hop and alternative music.

Through years of listening, David developed a deep appreciation for artists such as Mac Miller, MF DOOM, Kanye West, Action Bronson, and many of the pioneers of 90s rap. The authenticity, individuality, and storytelling found in their music would later become some of the strongest influences on his own artistic voice.

In 2021, after Devon Mozer returned home from Bucharest and decided to pursue an independent path in music, the two childhood friends began spending more time together than ever before. During those months, Devon noticed something that many others overlooked: David’s genuine passion for music. He was constantly rapping, knew the lyrics to countless songs by heart, and had a natural instinct for rhythm, wordplay, and expression.

Recognizing this talent, Devon encouraged David to stop being only a listener and become a creator himself. He invited him to the studio and challenged him to write his first song.

That night, David wrote “Famous,” the first song of his life.

The people around him were shocked. Friends and family who had only known him as someone who loved music suddenly discovered that he had the courage, creativity, and talent to create his own. The release surprised everyone and marked the beginning of a journey that would ultimately redefine his life.

What started as an experiment quickly became a calling. With every song, David grew more confident in his abilities as an artist and songwriter. Over the following years, it became increasingly clear that music was not simply a hobby—it was his purpose.

Together with Devon Mozer and Drimi, David helped establish Sick Slack Records, an independent label built on artistic freedom, authenticity, and the belief that music should be created without compromise. Through countless hours of writing, recording, performing, and building the label from the ground up, he became one of the driving creative forces behind the movement.

Today, E-DAE continues to develop his unique voice as an artist, drawing inspiration from the music that shaped him while telling stories rooted in his own experiences. His mission, alongside Devon and the rest of Sick Slack, is simple: to create honest music, inspire people to pursue their passions, and prove that anyone willing to believe in themselves can transform their life through creativity.

For David, music is more than entertainment—it is a lifelong pursuit of self-expression, growth, and meaning.
